Opponent Moves Tips
Watch Their Patterns
Most players fall into habits. Pay attention to how your opponent moves in the early rounds. Do they chase quickly? Do they hesitate near corners? Recognizing patterns helps you anticipate their next steps.
Focus on Their Positioning
Where your opponent places their pieces tells you a lot. If they’re grouping in one area, they might be setting up a trap. If they’re spreading out, they could be trying to control the board. Stay alert and position your own moves to block their flow.
Observe Delays and Pauses
A long pause can mean your opponent is thinking hard about a move, usually during a tricky situation. Take note of these moments. It could signal a turning point or a mistake you can take advantage of.
Think One Step Ahead
Always ask: “If I move here, what will they do next?” This helps you simulate the game in your head and stay a move ahead. Over time, you’ll naturally sense the smarter choices.
